sad to say...there is nothing people can do to stop it. if someone wants to kill someone...they will find a way with or without a gun. the only thing that can be done is to make sure they can't do it again. just like gangs that kill people in gang shootings and drive bys. you can't bring any of the victims back (as much as i wish you could) people can only try to stop the people from doing it again

How do we stop it from happening again? Death penalty doesn't work. Prison doesn't work.

How can we prevent this from happening again?

you can't. you can only see to it that the ones that did the killing can't do it again. the only way to stop people from whatever urge they have to kill is impossible to do. even taking away all the guns in the world...those that wish to kil or just flat out don't care about people will find another way. sad to say, but it's the world we live in. trust me....if i could make it all stop i would

You can't???!!!

That should not be an acceptable answer to any proud American.

We can and should do whatever it takes to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

dragoness...you misunderstood....there are actions you can take to try to protect yourself...but you can't change people that want to kill or can snap...because you usually don't know who they are. just like gangs....until they break the law (and there is proof) they have rights

Then what do you suggest we do? Take the guns out of law abiding citizens hands? If you do that do you think criminals will not take advantage of it? It's a pronen fact that violent crime will increase if that happens, because no laws will take guns out of criminals hands!

there were murders even before guns were invented. to stop it...you would have to reprogram the minds of everyone to not kill

TJ...you'd have to do it to the whole world or we would be sitting ducks

but plain and simple....you can not stop someone from these things. all you can do is educate yourself and try to protect yourself

oh for the love of....get a grip david. i was joking about being right...get a sense of humor. and from what i saw...i saw people saying they felt for the victim's family.

get a grip on reality david

I ANSWERED BECAUSE I WAS IN HERE POSTING!!!!!!!!!! GEEZ

do you not know, what THE PEOPLE THAT SHOT THE KID AND HIS FAMILY, WOULD HAVE SPOKEN AND POSTED HERE???

what words would they have posted here before such actions were committed???

you do not recognize what is the same as the shooter, that has been written in this very post???

so think of yourself as good, for deeming they should get the max, and calling them idiot's, but that does not help make for good???

one must SEE AND HEAR, AND RECOGNIZE, WHAT THINKING FIRST LEAD TO SUCH ACTIONS???

you accessed the post unto yourself, as something personal against you???

I ****ING KNOW YOU WOULDN'T SHOOT A KID!!!???

BUT, YOU SPOKE FOR THE MOTIVE AND INTENTIONS OF 'ALL IN THE THREAD'???

BULL****!!!???

you can't see past your own wishes for you???

if what is written, is not YOUR HEART'S MOTIVE, IT IS NOT TO YOU???

???

here is a little reality, girl???

all the **** you don't see, that your words create, and condone, is now your's to reep after this day, 10 fold, since you interfere with what you have no knowing of, simply or the sake of self pride THAT WISH FOR FLATTERY AND VALIDATION OF SELF ALONE???

now lets see who see's reality.

unpeace to peace for the blind eye's, that see not the very things EACH WORD AND THOUGHT, create into reality LATER, because it only look for what itself wish for itself, only self validation and flattery, which profit but for self deception, unto self demise, which no friend wish for even an enemy.

Now we are going off on another thing again.

This was a flagrant violation of human rights.

A CHILD was shot because .......... well for nothing at all.

You may want to accept this and not feel for the victims but I will not.

I am working on what should be done about it. I will be writing to some people about it.

I dont think anyone is saying the child or anyone deserved to be shot in this situation. It is a horrible thing. And it is a crime. And I'm sure those who comited the crime will be dealt with.

I can't tell.

You have offered no help to try to stop it from happening again.

People on here have dismissed this seven year old child as OH WELL, TOO BAD, LAWS ARE LAWS, POOR KID, ETC....

Well of course it wasn't their kid, so I guess they can sign it off.

It is just sick to me.

Those who did it being dealt with is no solace. It is no reassurance that another child, yours or mine, will not suffer the same fate.

ok....sense you seem to be the only one in here that has empathy (even though you have no clue) what do you suggest we do to stop it??? TJ already asked you that

AND FTR....they broke the law. I posted the Texas law and it does NOT give people permission to shoot at will. that seems to be a stereotype that people want to believe though

and I have NOT said OH WELL.

It's funny how your definition of the law has changed in 1 week.

There is nothing anyone can do to reassure anyone a little kid or an adult will not suffer the same fate. You cant take away all the guns in the world. And even if you did those that would want to harm some one would find some other means to do it.

I refuse to believe that. There has to be something that can be done.

I will work on it myself and find some who are same minded as me to work at it.
