This is a very hard question for me since I never have any expectations. I love finding out what the other person is all about. I'd miss out on all life has to offer if I did'nt. Regardless of what happened in the past, everybody new is different and deserves that attention.

I do agree with you about the traditional roles.. I don't expect a man to cook or clean the kitchen and I won't take out the garbage or mow the lawn... I respect a man that opens doors for me, etc. I don't want the "lady and gentlemen" traits to disappear from society any more than it has.. Those men are very special men to treat a lady like a lady and still let us be who we are... Very rare to find...

Real men like ted nugent go out with their wife, blast a big ass elk dead with guns, gut it, and cook it up with awesome recipes, and have damn fine meals together. The heck with your vogue magazine questionaires. If you gotta ask what a real man or woman is.......you may need to seek professional medical help and get it checked out. Ha ha ha ha!!!

Some thoughts spurred on by another thread. (thanks atlantis)
I'd love to hear both sides of this.

What's your idea of the core of a man/woman committed relationship? I'm not talking just financial here.

Are you into the newer type roles where everything is split 50/50 (or even where the man stays home and the woman works) or do you like the traditional roles of a household.

If you could have your ideal set-up....how would that look?

I like the old fashioned traditional roles, where the husband goes to work, and the wife stays at home and takes care of the house and kids.

Nobody should be judging what anyone's opinion of a good relationship is. I admire people who can state theirs without needing to be political about it. It just might help someone to see a different side of things.
