Oregon police say father accused of using a dog shock collar on his children By Associated Press 8:31 PM EDT, May 7, 2009 SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A father was accused of using a dog shock collar on his four children. Salem Police Lt. Dave Okada said the 41-year-old man was jailed Tuesday on charges of criminal mistreatment. He said the father acknowledged putting the electronic dog collar on his four children and shocking all of them at least once. According to Okada, the father didn't do it as a punishment. Rather, he thought it was funny. The children, all younger than 10, are in the custody of their mother. What? Ya mean that is considered cruel? What if I turn the amperage wayyyyyyyy down? LOL Ive done it to myself before! I wanted to see how it felt before using it on my dog. It's quite a shock but not dangerous! The butt whooping my dad gave to us as children hurt worse, and we never asked for that. Well, OK maybe we did!

If the children were bad and deserved punishment, than i would give the guy a medal because nobody disciplines kids anymore. But since he was doing it for shzt and giggles, than he is a total tool.
