Can someone steal your identity with your name, age, address, card type & job description!? They dont have my account # or card # but I think I may have just gotten scammed!

Your answer is yes. In today’s online world it is very easy for anyone to gather information from your computer when you are online. All it takes is certain software and knowledge on how to steal someone’s ID.
But as long as you have some protection for your computer; as in firewalls, but you need to have your firewall or router set up right. Then you should be okay.

want to really know the answer? go to 411.com and ttype in all the information you think someone else has. And it will show you whats available about you There might even be a special for $1.95 to get records that are public info. and if you want to pay more? for about 50 dollars you can find out all or most all things about you.

people can steal your identity with just your name. the amount of digging for the rest of the information is very easy. trust me. i've been through it and it was horrible. so one day i tested it and damn...

its amazing how easy it is to have all of your information out there unintentionally.

and job hunting has become the biggest scam now.

sadly, they are doing nothing about it.

Best way not to have things stolen from your computer is to have no personal information on it, I personally do not have my name (real one) or anything about me anywhere on my PC, anything I need to have my personal info in I do it then save it on removable device and delete it right away.

Call me paranoid but better to be sure then sorry.

Report it to your social security administration, let them know what happened and they should advise you further. If you already have been scammed, contact your bank account and freeze the assets (make sure nothing can come out or go into your bank account) and inform them of the situation. Then, as useless as it is, contact the police.

I love the fact that none of these sites can find me, I live off the grid pretty well for having a checking account and a MasterCard.smokin

The only places that have my information are my bank, my job, and the state. Aside from that no other place has my information aside from secure billing sites. I'm pretty touchy about anyone knowing where I am at all times so I make sure I only do what is necessary in order to get established somewhere (I have no medical records in this state, I have no attorney, I haven't been in trouble here...no criminal records.). Essentially I am invisible.

All they need is your name, if they're good.
