Okay, before I decided to post here ...I went and read your profile.. I do that so I know the people in the threads.. And I found your profile to be very clear concise and well written. You expressed yourself and the important things. I do not see where anyone who would respond to you would have a problem .....wait... unless they are brain dead?... very nice lady here in my opinion.  What? No lolipop?  I thought the same thing when I read that! He always mentions a lolipop, but not when responding to my rant! I am so happy I am not going crazy Some else notice's it too

Thank you. I think the next time I start feeling down about being short and small and refered to as "cute", I'm going to post on here and wallow in the compliments. I was quite grumpy when I wrote that and you guys are being so nice.  |

I look upon the profile summary as simply a means of getting a VERY general idea on what the member-in-question is all about. I don't go in expecting to read the equivalent of a Michael Crichton novel or anything THAT heavy.
The more basic it can be, the better. And who really cares of the responses are rather boorish and mediocre in quality, either? Just kick back and be cool. There's no need to get all steamed about stuff like what you're complaining about.

Although I disagree about how much info is prefered in a profile, you're right about there being no need to get all steamed about other people wasting my time. After all, there's nothing requiring me to respond to their email other than my own conscious. I could just delete the ones that irritate and be done with them. As for 'who really cares if the responses are rather boorish and mediocre in quality'... I didn't mention anything about those who bore me or I consider mediocre. I mentioned ones who didn't put any effort at all into their replies... who bypassed my requests... and who expected me to hold up both ends of conversations. But again, as you rightfully stated, 'there's no need to get all steamed'. Just letting it pour out on here did wonders in calming me and then the posts that followed have helped me laugh, reconsider, and see things from other points of view.  |

I've been meeting and making friends with people from here. I've been breathing easier since I wrote the rant... releasing something from yourself feels great. I can't believe people actually responded to this at all, but it's amazing that there's stragglers telling me to calm after all this time. Ok, people... please read the other posts before posting and note... I ranted, I read what others said, I built a bridge... I'm over it. Have a funtastic evening and let this thing die in peace, ok? It really was never meant to live in the first place. |
