Ever seem like you just never seem to hit the lottery?

What happens if you’ve got a winning ticket and someone else is claiming the prize? It runs into the millions...

surprised noway

I don't trust the lottery in US. Think about it, your choice is in the system, that is networked to the headquarters.

Do you really think it is random? They know your numbers before they make the draw.

The only thing that would stop them at this point from setting up winning numbers in a way that either nobody wins or the smallest number of people win, would be their honesty.

You're trusting honesty of a bureaucrat.bigsmile

the beauty of the lottery is that even if it is conducted in a perfectly open and transparent manner, and even if no one cheats, it is still a scam!

a govt sanctioned scam a tax that is imposed on those who choose to participate...

whoa

now cut me off a slice of some of that will ya? laugh

How is it a scam? (Unless it is set up as I describe above)

It is a poor man's tax.

Often passed as a means to fund schools and roads...

Afterwards it is spent in undisclosed places or places other than those originally intended, with increasing school levies still footing the burden of extracurriculars and staple items.

"This lotto clerk denies any wrongdoing even when confronted with taped evidence."

also "discounting" - you have your wages attached? owe back taxes? child support? court fees?

some clerks will give you 65 cents on the dollar no questions asked. save you a lot of hassle. tax free cash under the table. but...that's not the way it is supposed to work.

this is how the winners play:

they own the store, they sell the tix. they make money, they win, on every sale. but some, want their customer's winnings too....

ask Bob Sehested....
