This is not about racism....
It's about ppl from other countries.... The UK...... what is their world like? Are they ppl who are looking to hook up with Americans? To get out of their country.. to be Americans.....to live in a better world...??? Scammers????? Someone just thru this at me....looking to hook up...I'm very concerned for this person.... Thank You....

Some ARE looking for a green card. If you got an email that blatant, then yea that's prolly what they want.

I think there are scammers all over the world that want to come to the US. I know mine....said he was from NY. He was on a business trip to South Africa...needed $$$$ to get home. Meanwhile he told me that he was an architect.
It's all just BS........JMO.

It's not about me..or on here....
It's a friend who apparently is on a site and met someone and they want to meet... I'm afraid for this person.... money looks etc.... and the UK person is only looking for a better life..to become an American With all my time on the net and talking to ppl who have been in this situation...then disaster only to find that they were being used for that green card... thats bad...and frighting..especially when you know the person who could be hurt and taken for everything.... yikes |

Germany was quite a culture shock when I went there some years back, my sis said Ireland's beautiful, Syd Barrett is from Cambridge England, doesn't sound like UK is bad to me.

Zanne, the average person from the UK has a standard of living at least equal to that of the average person from the US. An individual may wish to move to the US and might even think they will improve their quality of life there, but Brits in general are probably better off to stay where they are.

IDK, I think UK is better off than America. It usually people from the poorer countries that will scam you, Nigeria, is notorious for scams. |

My concern also comes from so much scam mail from the UK.....oh give us ur account and address and you get all this money...ya right..like I'm stupid....lmao Also....the miss trust due to this war and my son being there.... all though..I saw him for 8 hours in America...then had to come home.. Tomorrow is his 21st Birthday.... Then he will be HOME very soon..... I can't Wait.....I'm going Crazy.....but extremely HAPPY...

I'd say that there is a good chance that these people are just saying they are from the UK, but are probably from Nigeria or somewhere.
Americans like us Brits, generally. They love the accent, and find our country interesting. Its worthwhile for the scammer to say they are from here, because if they admit they are in Nigeria, say, then they know they arent going to get very far with their scam. |

If your talking about from a devolped nation . I would say people are basically people .Some good , some bad . They have the same fears dreams and hopes as the rest of us
