Topic: Biden Foot in Mouth again | |

No one pay attention to him anyways.. He made those remarks on NBC Today's shows. That makes it even worse. Why would that make it even worse? I don't understand why. |

Biden contradicted Obama's and the federal government's position. The last thing the White House needs is for the airline industry and big city subways shut down out of mass panic. Biden handled it badly as usual. |

There were a couple of points to notice.
The white house took back everything Biden said and changed it to "what he meant to say", which just happened to be the exact opposite. The Mexican version of the flu is much worse than the strain in the US. Common sense says it isn't going to stay in Mexico long. |

Is that the kinda of information you want to receive the morning after the president's lengthy assessment of the situation the day before. The show is nationally televised. |

What the hell is wrong with what he said. I would say that for any person out there right now who isn't aware of how the flu spreads and especially for the risk category of folks that 'is' cautionary, geez what are people stupid, it's not panic when you are cautioned that confined places are riskier for lots of folks with weakened immune systems. I don't know Biden all that well but I don't have a problem with what he said. Geezuz if he told people to go on vacation and enjoy, don't worry, and then it became a serious problem he would have gotten hell for that too. ![]() So why the apology from the White House Press secretary? You'd think A VP would have more sense than unduly alarm the public. There was more undue panic in Mingle in the last two days... He shouldn't have had to apologize for being honest, but some in the public I suppose need codling. Press secretaries tend to do that, but what he said was cautionary and the public should have known that, I did. People are going to panic with out with out the vp. The public should be smarter than that. |

Contradict the president's assessment the next day. |

I don't see how It's a bad thing that he had said that. It's not a law that he has to agree with Obama or the rest of his staff. I tip my hat off to Biden for speaking his mind (Not that he's much better than Obama in a lot of respects).
Bottem line.. They're all crooks. There's not one good, honest, straight forward politician anymore. JFK was out last true President. He didn't conform to what the higher ups wanted. The Bilderburg Group just uses the President as a puppet. When Carter was elected, he was seen as the good guy. At the end, he was the bad guy and Bush Sr. was the answer to all of our problems. When Bush Sr. was elected, he was seen as the good guy. At the end, he was the bad guy and Clinton was the answer to all of our problems. When Clinton was elected, he was seen as the good guy. At the end, he was the bad guy and Bush Jr. was the answer to all of our problems. When Bush Jr. was elected, he was seen as the good guy. At the end, he was the bad guy and Obama is now the "answer" to all of our problems. Look at the facts.. Most of the same policies were pushed for years from different angels. Obama is doing the same.. You probably think I'm insane, but you'll all see in the time to come.. He's going to run our country into the ground just like Carter, the Bush's, and Clinton did. |

Unfortunately, Biden has made enough remarks about things that his reputation for doing so is a foregone conclusion. http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20090501/hl_time/08599189521600 But when people get scared, they sometimes say or do dumb things. That includes Vice President Joseph Biden, who said Thursday morning on the Today show that the swine flu virus could spread easily on airplanes, and that he has advised his family against traveling anywhere on mass transit. |
