Not following the Yellow Brick Road! Did I recover from it? No, because I married the Wicked Witch of the West! Tried throwing water on her, but it didn't work! She didn't disappear! Not only that, she got meaner, uglier and developed a fetish for monkeys! rofl rofl

One of the biggest mistakes I made was never attending college...my parents could easily have afforded it but I wanted to get out in the Real World & go to work immediately... *shrug* I've had a very fun & interesting life...but I sometimes wonder how it would've been had I taken another Path...

I had a full scholarship in English at the University of Texas and I turned it down to get married (my parents were PISSED)

I went back to school later on my own dime (after the divorce) but I always regretted that

You are, and always have been on the right path, because you're right where you are meant to be. I am also on the right path. I have had many things happen in my wonderful and terifying life, but all the mistakes have taken me on the path that I have been destined to take.....Wanna join me on the beaten path.

Even as young kid I wanted to be an astrophyisist, but back then opportunities for a college education at that level were harder to come by than today. I certainly regret not following through with it and if I could do it all over again and still end up with my son, I wouldn't hesitate to reach for the stars!

What's one of the biggest mistakes (other than getting married or divorced) that you've made? Were you able to recover from it?

The mistakes I made, and the humans that allowed me to make them without killing me or sending me to prison, have created me as I am now.

I think learning the hard way grants deeper understanding of why we do things a certain way, and when to ignore someone claiming to know what's best. That is rare, but it happens. I am blessed to be able to catch that.

I'm the same way, I could have went to college for $0. I never did that well in school, even when I was in high school I was in a work/study program school half the day & work the rest, all i wanted to do was work too.....now I've been struggling my whole life because of it.

Out of college I could have worked for IBM but I stayed put for my now ex- husband's business. According to Forbes, I now work in the worst small city in the United States.slaphead

Have to agree with Phuque2 no matter what mistakes we have made in life as long as you're happy where you are that is all that matters.

And as far as the College thing your never too old to go all you have to do is make that fist step and do it...
