I feel like I am aware of it for the first time in my life ... do we not all have demons? Are we not all doing something that "we are not supposed to be" doing? Exercising demons .... risky business. I do what i shouldn't do because I want to examine the demon that wants me to do it .... in action. And the payoff is the wisdom, and the true humility that trial and error provides as their gift, to those who walk that path ... for how can someone who has never exercised a demon know what it is like? So begs the question - what is it to exercise a demon? And with this experience, what is there to share? There is no doubt demons exist.Evil is all around us and is always tempting us in every way.Yes I have had my fill of demons and have learned many things. What feeds demons?Evil,hate,and bad thoughts.If you think you have demons you should take a look at your life and see how you are feeding them.I have learned that music especially dark metal,black metal,heavy metal,aggressive,and depressing music opens a door wide open to demonic possion.The bible said Satan was a musican and there is no doubt he speaks to us through music.Music can make us aggressive,hateful,spiteful,and give us a bad outlook on life.Bands like slipknot,disturbed,venom,marylin manson,cradle of filth,and others carry a powerful message of hate,anger,and depression which affects not only your mind but your life. What kind of movies do you have in your collection?Do you have alot of horror movies?Movies like wrong turn,gangs of new york,texas chainsaw massacre,and others that show disturbing scenes of death and mutilation also will invite evil all kinds of demons into your life.Watching scenes of real death situations like those in the traces of death series or banned from television movies will not only warp your mind but will feed your demons like 5 star dinner. What kind of people do you have as friends?People who are always pissed off,depressed,or losers only feed the fire. Pornography and drugs.By far the two most toxic things you bring into your life.Both lead to a downward spiral of self destruction. If you are wondering if I speak from experience,that I do.I had demons like you wouldn't believe.I saw everything from a black mist hovering over my ceiling,to transparent people sitting on the edge of my bed looking at me.I have had what felt like someone poking me with a stick in my back to turn around and see that nobody was there.I have had times where it felt like a giant rock was on my chest and was going to crush the bed into a bunch of splinters.My mother once said she was woken up and saw a image of me standing by her bed.She said I had a small black dagger stuck in my heart with all this black smoke coming out of it.She said she pulled it out and the colors changed from black to all sorts of colors.I can go on all night with stories but this is about you and not me. There is only one thing that no demon can stand and that is the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.If you want to get rid of a demon you need to start hanging around good people and watch and listen to movies and music that has a good influence on your life.Demons will not stay in a holy and good man.When I read the bible I feel like I have a suit of armor on me.I sleep well.I do not fear.Even Satan himself is powerless over me when I have the power of God on my side.Demons are always there waiting for me to slip back into my old ways but they are going to be waiting a long time because I know the truth and that set me free. Try burning any CDs,movies,or other items you feel may have a bad influence on your life.It will feel like you have a weight lifted off your back. I like horror movies, satanic music (among other genres), and I like pornography, but I have never seen or had any kind demonic experience. I felt like the weight was lifted from my back when I gave up on christianity. |

Demons represent the evil of man, period. There is no outside entity that influences or possesses us. We as the humans that we are, are capable of the most atrocious acts imaginable. We will torture and kill those unlike us, we will ostricize in our own communities based on a bias, etc.. and those are the mild things we do.
So if you feel the influence of demons, I recommend counseling real quick, because your mind is trying to tell you something. |

 Physical illnesses are caused by germs/infection and mental illnesses are caused by emotional problems/trauma. All of it is scientifically explainable. I don't see any evidence of these magical demons.

 People in ancient times (such as the time periods of the biblical stories) did not have a scientific method of classifying and analyzing information, so when they seen something that they didn't understand they would call it "magic" or a "miracle".

Thomas3474...according to what you shared above....you were just OPPRESSED...and NOT POSSESSED with spirits!!! BIG DIFFERENCE!! IF you TRULY had been POSSESSED by demons.... you SURELY would NOT just have accepted Christ like that..... you would have SCREAMED and CURSED God.....and would have had to go thru DELIVERANCE first!!! |

last night sadly a good freind of mine told me about a man in the nebraska area, had cut off his son's head because he belived that he was the anti-christ...the man said that god told him to kill his own son....the reason was because of the type of music his child was listening to, among other things.....are there demons in this world?? I doubt my opionion matter much....but i belive there are...and i think that most of them spew religious retoric non stop, hypocritacly telling others what gods word says...so who are the real demons?????

Sure....There are instances in the bible , where some were demon possessed.
But look at what happened to the ones that were demon possessed , they rent themselves...screamed...threw themselves in the fire..etc..in other words...there were obvious BIZARAR outward signs ,that they were indeed, possessed. There even may be some cases today.... but again.....just because peope are sick or blind or angry,or have addictions, or whatever, DOESN'T mean they have demons!!!! This becomes pure foolishness...when one refers to incidents in scripture, and misconscrues scripture like that. |

Epilepsy is an illness....and is treatable. One of the most beautiful christian women I ever knew , had epilepsy..and was the kindest most God loving soul I knew. She LOVED Jesus all her life!!! She was my beloved mum!!!  ps..the Holy Spirit and a demonic spirit CANNOT BOTH DWELL in a human body at the same time !!! |

Unlearn! For some reason I am not surprised that the only ones who carry such a fear are those who are religious...  Should that not tell us something?

Generational inbreeding. They lived very unhealthy lifestyles. Making it to 40 was old. No communications from area to area. Very violent and brutal. Im not sure their observations can be called reliable Its no wonder they would do these sorts of things. The majority of them suffered from physical and mental illnesses

I've always felt that the concept of Demons in religion that has a supposedly judgmental God is so obviously stupid that I'm at a total loss to understand how so many people can fall for this idea.
If men are so perfect and incapable of being evil that they need to be tricked, fooled, and blinded by demons, then clearly it's not their fault. Men would be perfect and incapable of being evil on their own. On the other hand, if men are capable of being evil on their own, then there would be no need for demons. The whole idea of a Satan is a superfluous idea. It's just wouldn't be needed if men were capable of being evil on their own. Besides, it even requires that this evil Satan is God's direct enemy which God can't even control. In fact, God becomes so desperate that he feels that he must sacrifice his only begotten son and have him nailed to a pole to overcome the evil deeds of Satan. This implies that Satan is such an extreme threat to God that God has no choice but to take extremely desperate measures. Then we have God's Son crying out on the pole, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do!" Excuse me? I thought this was God's plan to sacrifice his son like this? What's to forgive? The men who nailed Jesus to the pole were doing the WILL OF GOD and making his sacrifice possible! Without them God would not be able to perform this sacrifical ritual. Moreover, why would Jesus need to suggest to God to forgive these men for they know not what they do? This suggests that God himself isn't bright enough to figure this out on his own. This also suggests that Jesus is more merciful, and more intelligent than God himself! Maybe we would have been better off if God just let his son create his own universe off to the side. Maybe Jesus wouldn't have bothered creating any demons in the first place. This whole story sounds so typically human. A stubborn father is set in his prejudice ways and his son comes along and says, "Hey dad you don't need to be so god damned judgmental and predjudice! Try being a little more forgiving and understanding once in a while!" According to this story Jesus was trying to teach God a little bit of compassion and understanding.  In fact, I personally feel that this is truly the whole moral of the tale. Some people made up a really horrible judgmental God that had everyone stoning each other to death and murdering heathens. So someone else came along and wrote a story about another God coming along and telling the first God to learn something of compassion.  When seen in that way it might have some value. Trying to take it as a literally true story is ludicous. It makes absolutely no sense at all when taken literally. |

Perhaps the first demon was created when man received his first sun burn. When he looked at the sun his eyes burned also and screamed "Demon!"
Demons are usually associated with fire or hot! So perhaps this idealogy however old it is predating most religions is invented in this sense. Today as scientists have discovered what the sun contains and even understands a suns lifespan the mentioning of such superstitions is unneccessary, unless for entertainment purposes to escape reality once in awhile. |
