grumble Darn cheesecake...why does the stuff have to have so many calories?
On a more serious note though, there is more research coming out about the underlying causes of gaining weight. Already mentioned can be depression, and another is subconciously pushing people away so you won't be noticed. If you get really hurt, gaining weight would keep people more at bay and you don't have to get close to anyone.
So says the research anyway. brokenheart That's really sad!

I think there are a lot of reasons for this. Some people eat more when they are stressed, depressed or in need of comfort. There are also medical conditions that can make someone more prone to obesity.
I think many of us are taught at a young age what is good for you and what is not. Those who don't get this lesson as a child are probably more likely to develop obesity.

Just don't say anything in your profile about it, or you will get the mail.

Humm I think I could find a lot more to worry about then to down another for their size. Sure they could find issues with those that find issues with them.

As long as it is not and issue with yourself guess then it is not a problem. Believe me the ones overweight know it they don't need someone pointing it out to them.

I have not always been but it is me now I deal with it so the way I see it everyone else can as well or walk away!!bigsmile JMO

It is not your fault it is the government!

Yes you don't believe me... I know , I know

but go shopping one day

and try to buy food that doesn't have sugar in it

((Everything)) you touch has high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavor, sugar and dextrose, and more sugar and more sweetners with artificial flavors

let alone the other stuff in our food that is bad for you

The FDA wants you to get fat!

they call obesity a disease these days. Well they labeled it as so

so they can sell their drugs and other products for you to take

I mean eat some potato chips or other flavored snacks. You suddenly get tired and want to lie down so the food you ate grows to fat. Why is that?

Do a research on the food in this country and how to beat it so you can truly eat healthy and stay your normal weight

I mean yes you think you are eating healthy, but again are you?

What is in your food when you buy it?

Okay enough ranting

The US is known to have the highest amount of obesity in the world!

Parents CREATE the fat child.

My little boy was sitting in the car with me at a red light and I saw him watching a morbidly obese girl on a bike, circling her driveway. He looked sad... and I said, what's the matter honey?

He said, "She is so sad. All the fat kids at school get made fun of, don't let me get fat. I'm glad you feed me healthy food and do healthy stuff with me. I love you mommy".

I feel badly for that man. I hope he can turn it around.
