Topic: Satan does not exist!

bluebelly,

God gave Satan and mankind freewill. Satan decided that his own way was
right. God didn't cause the fall of Satan, he simply allowed Satan to
make his own choices. No God, no nothing. No devil, would simply
result in a better life for everyone.

I think that the thing that I have realized is that God is the great I
AM. The Alpha and the Omega. Everything and nothing. Exitence of
everything itself is just an extension of God acting within it's normal
limited capacity.

Are you a Christian? Can you quote scripture that supports that view of
Satan? My understandin is that Satan can interfer in our lives, but
only after receiving permission from God. Once you are saved, you
belong to God and thus are no longer the property of this world.

For scriptural support of my position, please read Job or the following
scripture...

Luke 22:31-32
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed
for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned
back, strengthen your brothers."

i think that's a great point to have biblical backing of your argument.

Satan is alive and well on planet earth. Just look around you. Things
get worse everyday and it will cuminate on the great and glorious day
that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comes back to earth. On that day
there will be a war and Christ will overthrow Satan and Christ will
reign on this earth for 1000 years. After that Satan will be thrown in
the lake of fire. Revelation is very hard to understand but it does say
it all. Also try reading the Left Behind series. It will give you some
idea of what is going to happen. Not quite accurate but close enough.

Things get worse because of those who do evil.

Things will get better by those who live with the gift of love.

Each one of us that choses the path lit by faith and hope becomes a link
in the chain that will bind the beast.

I'm sorry to hear about your son, that is terrible. I can't imagine how
I would react if something like that happened to one of my kids.

Prettykit, I assure you that there are no contradictions in the Bible.
There are bad translations. (glad to see you don't trust completely in
just one translation) There will be verses you can't understand. (God's
ways are not our ways) But I have debated with Athiests for months on
MySpace and I haven't found a single real contradiction in the Bible.

I must disagree with you prettykit. The Bible is not contradictory.
There are just many misunderstandings among those who do not know it as
well as they think. Remember what the Scriptures say:

"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for
reproving, for SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT, for disciplining in
righteousness, that the man (or woman) of God may be fully competent,
completely equipped for every good work."

2Timothy 3:16,17

This shows that the Bible is meant to be a source of knowledge, and
being that it is referred to as the WORD OF GOD, it's His way of
teaching us. One cannot teach correctly if one contradicts oneself.
Also, we must realize that the previous scripture did not say the "New
Testimate" or the "Old Testimate" but referred to them both correctly as
the "Scriptures."

When christ asked his father to forgive them was he talking about his
followers or the jews that demanded his blood or the man who thought he
could wash his hands of that blood or the romans that actually nailed
him up there?

Long question I know... Please forgive me.
