The vet told me if they are not exposed to sounds like thunder , sirens , hot air balloons ETC. by a certain age they are likely to develop a fear of it. When he hears a siren he sounds like a wolf. good olll Duke would howl at sirens, he would crack me up What kind of a dog was Duke? Duke was our first Beagle whan I was a kid, I thought he was the best untill I had twister We had a Duke too he was a beagle best hunting dog my dad ever had we all cryied when he died :(

All dogs are wonderful.But yeah some grab your heart a little bit more.Barney is like that for me ..even though I .love Teddy snd all the dogs I ve had.Maybe cause he is the first big dog I 've ever had, Now I love big dogs.

My daughter and soninlaw have a boxer named Laila I first I thought she was so ugly and say he all the time. But she is the best trained dog just love her.

Wish now I had spoiled him more

Well Barney and Teddy are very spoiled that way. They go the park at least once or twice a welk and car rides wherever we go that we can take them But youre right about the fur!!!Yuk!

Just a note to let everybody know I am still alive!!!!! Dear Friends, I am still kicking but I am very tired....I have been busy putting up horse fences which is hard manual labor. When I finish my day I just shower, eat and sleep. Then the whole thing starts again in when I wake. Spring is a very busy time for me. I have not forgotten any of you. I love each and everyone of you. Please understand I will be back full force when the fencing and field fertilizing is done. I still have one more pasture to fence in. So far, we have put in 101 wooden post, 87 metal post and 5 gates. The wire goes up this weekend. I have so many bruises I look like a polka dotted monster. I have had a gate fall on me, been attacked by ticks and chiggers. I just want to finish so I can just rest for while. Love each and everyone of you!!!!!!
