Well...

From what I gathered, the Swine Flu that is presently hitting Mexico is actually a combination... a conglomeration, if you will... of THREE different strains of flu- bird flu, swine flu, and human flu. It's a totally new strain that hasn't been seen before, and is currently not controllable via quarantine and the like.

And yes- like all strains of Influenza, it primarily strikes the respiratory system. It's supposedly much more virulent than previous strains as well, which is why so many South-of-the-border are dying.

Even worse is the fact that it's already made its presence known here in the states, which cities like L.A./San Diego/Orange County, New York, Houston, and other cities with a high Latino/Mexican population having cases.

It's an exact reason for why you should go to a doctor when you start getting sick- there might be a chance that you might have caught something totally new, which can then be reported to the feds for action. As it was, the situation in Mexico was discovered much too late, which resulted in the health scare they're currently going through.

Since I'm not a doctor (I do a pretty good job at PLAYING doctor, though ), I couldn't tell you if you and your son actually did come down with Swine Flu or not. That woulda been something for the doc to determine.

Ahhh and I said simple yes or no's would do...

i agree with him if you feel you have swine flu best to get that checked out sooner rather than later as there are a couple effective intiviral medications that seem to be working
