Neither magick nor prayer (religious magic) work.

They don't always work. But the above is your experience and opinion and may not be a true statement.

"Again, if they did, there would not be so many unhappy, poor, and sick people. One excuse that faith healers use is to tell people who are not instantaneously healed, they don't believe enough."

Yeh that's a lousy thing to lay on someone wanting to be healed. Oral Roberts, (so-called faith healer) pulled that dirty trick on my Aunt who took her son to him for healing.

As far as the poor and the unhappy, well, poverty can be over come, and happiness is a personal responsibility.

You are responsible for your own happiness. It is a state of mind.

Poverty is also a state of mind. When you worry about not having enough, that is where your attention is and that is what you attract.

Yeh, I know you don't believe in the law of attraction.

But then how would you explain why some people seem so "happy" or "lucky" or "healthy?" or successful?" What do you attribute that to?

While I'm a firm believer in collective consciousness (or at least subconsciousness), I wonder who's to say there isn't a seperate reality for every observer on the planet? Why only one?

While every person has their own unique perception of reality that doesn't mean that there is a separate physical reality for every observer on the planet. It would be impractical and inefficient.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

A scene from the TV show M*A*S*H:

Trapper John and Hawkeye are walking together through the unit.

Trapper John: "One man's fantasy is another man's reality."

The doctors then see two nurses.

Hawkeye, in reference to the nurses: "You take the reality one, and I'll take the one with the large fantasy."
