When my Grandpa retired, he bought a confectionary. Every time I visited him at the store, he gave me all the comic books that I wanted. lol

When we were stationed overseas (I was 7 or so), the army post had a comic book exchange. Back then comics were anywhere from 5 cents to 50 cents. You took your comic books and you exchanged them for the exact same values of other used comic books. A quarter book for a quarter book. But that's it... you didn't have to pay for anything if you just exchanged.

I read everything from The Archie comics, to Richie Rich and Donald Duck. I also loved the westerns.... The Rawhide Kid (I think that's what it was called) being my favorite. Then there was Superman, Ironman, Green Lantern, Flash Gordon, Batman. They were all great fun!

I still read a couple books every week. I always ask peopel what they like to read...if its magazines or nothing at all I usually dont have much in common with them....

I started reading classic Persian literature when I was 6 years old... with the help of my uncle! Most notably was the Shahnameh, written by Ferdowsi when I was 8 (above pic.)

Then at the age of 12, we moved to the States and it's been nothing but hardcore porn since....

I remember I had to read Watership Down in Advanced English in the 5th grade. He passed out the book and I was like whoaaaa I am expected to read all of this? It was huge especially to a child! Was I the only who had this as their curriculum? It truly was a good book that I enjoyed...for those who haven't read it...the main characters are rabbits lol.

elementary- Richie Rich comic books- were a great prelude to daydreams lol along with Lord of the Rings

junior high- Stephen KIng! First book was The Stand...I was hooked! Read all of his books

I've read a lot of genres tho, romance, country westerns, scifi, horror, mostly a fiction fan myself.

My Grandfather gifted me EVERY dime novel written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, when I was either seven or eight. I was hooked, I next read most of the Robert E. Howard books on Conan, followed by any Star Wars book the Library had.

After that my Mother handed me Steven King's The Talisman.

I love epic adventures involving Man's discovery of the unknown, I will consume a good book in a matter of hours.

Nancy Drew, Judy Blume, Little House on the Prairie, Where the Sidewalk Ends and probably tons of others I can't think of off the top of my head. In high school I read a lot of the classics and Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

I just recently started compiling a list of all the books I have ever read. It's kind of fun and brings back a lot of great memories.

My first real book was called "Flash" after I started to read 'Guy Des Car" (French writer) and John LeCarré (spy stories)after I went into the science fiction fantasy period "Isaac Asimov, Tolkien," after had my horror time "Stephen King, Peter Straub, Ann Rice" and finally got to the classics 'Moby ****, The Brothers Karamazov, Edgar Allan Poe, Phantom of the Opera, War and Peace ect" sadly these days I'm not in the reading mood (no time) but I'm sure the bug will come back one day.
