Approval ratings at this point mean crap. Approval ratings at all mean crap. All that means is people are ok with what he is doing at this very moment. That is far from him doing a good job in respect to the long run. Only time will tell how these actions will play out in the long run.

Dubya had high approval ratings at this point, almost some of the best in history in another 6 months and look where that ended up. Again, approval ratings are as useless as the stock market as a full indicator of the economy. They give a little insight but nowhere near the full picture.

It was sure interesting to see what Bush's exit poll was when he left.

I still don't have faith in polls or surveys. unless everyone eligible is polled...it's not accurate

I always want to get polled on surveys about politics. It seems they just call or Email the same old people who say the same old things. They need to poll different people, LIKE ME! laugh

"So Mr. Allen, from a scale of 1 to ten, with 1 being horrible and 10 being great, how do you feel the president has been in the first 100 days?"

"Negative 5!"

The choices in the last election were horrible. The cats at the shelter had better ideas than McCain or Obama.

Check the final polls and then the actual results for Obama/McCain. I think you will find that polls do have some validity.

Hi Rose. If you study statistics a little bit, you'll see how they do it and why they are also very accurate in most cases. When the polls pick 49 or 50 states correctly, there's obviously something to it. And they do this every election.

I know how they work and they are used, but I never bought into them....they aren't accurate

What they said about Missouri is how it played out when we voted, "Missouri Reuters/Zogby McCain 49, Obama 49 Tie".

The count was so close that we remained a gray state for days while they rechecked everything. McCain did win by a small amount here. It was freaky close.

At this point, I must throw up my hands. If you refuse to try to understand how statistics works, there's nothing I can do for you.
