It was alright... I have just acclimated to Calgary... I have been here for three weeks now... So, I'm just learning all the cool places of entertainment... The place I went tonight was kind of lame actually... I thought it would be a big dance floor, a pub, and some good 60's music... That was the impression I got from this person that gave me the flyer at the grocery store... It was a huge auditorium with fold out chairs and very bad music... I have heard better karaoke unfortunately... One good thing that my 20 dollars Canadian paid for was there was a group of kids that came out and sang a few songs... That was cool! They were so cute and well worth the trip.... Awww sorry the evening was a disappointment. It is nice the kids were able to save part of the evening for you. Where did you move from? And welcome to the area
Atlanta Ga. ...For a job and the beautiful scenery... I have been to the mountains the last two weekends already and love it... It reminds me of Colorado where I used to live... This is where I will stay for sure... I have moved quite a few times... Wisconsin is where most of my family resides... I have lived there, Illinois, colorado, Pennsylvania, Georgia and now Calgary... I'm really loving it my friend... I look out my window every morning and see the mountains and it brings a certain serenity and contentment.. I have had a few to drink by the way... So, let's crank the tunes and get out there and dance...... Cheers!!!!! Put em up!! toast to you all!!!

Yes the mountains are beautiful - there are places where the air just 'sounds' different - I don't know any other way to describe it. And there are times driving around a bend in Jasper Park where I feel incredibly big and incredibly small at the same time. It is breathtaking ... I never get used to it.

I would have been listening and moshing to Black Label Society but they stopped the concert before BLS came on to the stage due to excessive fighting in the venue. *sad/angry face*
