I like this saying: If your so smart, how come you're so poor?

Being rich has nothing to do with having a high IQ. There are so many people who just inherit the money and yes there are some who have had luck earning alot more then others, but this doesn't make a person intelligent.

Do you consider Paris Hilton intelligent, or OJ Simpson, or Hulk Hogan's daughter who didn't know who the vice president was smart? They are rich, but not that smart.

In today's time many believe Emotional Intelligence is alot more important then the Intelligent Quote. There are alot of books that argue about this. Check out a few and you will see what I am talking about.


I think taking these tests is a good way to motivate yourself to study and learn more. There is nothing wrong in taking them in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with trying to improve your knowledge as a general. For too long has society in the past prevented people to further themselves in education. Fortunately many don't suffer this anymore and can take full advantage of improving their knowledge. It may even have positive results as a whole if people know more about the world we live in and all the subjects mankind has created.

Improve your knowledge each day and don't hesitate to share what you have learned in the community. Communication is the key in gaining a better understanding of ourselves and those around us to preserve peace and prosperity.

Not necessarily prevented, but most definitely held back. Something as important as proper English use, spelling, punctuation, etc., have SEVERELY fallen by the wayside, and very few people are willing to do anything about their problem with it. Worse yet, there are far too many whiners in the world who ALLOW it to keep happening by standing up for these other peoples' right to have their own ignorance. It only perpetuates the problem. I've said this a million times before, and I'm quite sure I sound like a broken record about it, but it's SO important, and most folks either just take a total lackadaisical attitude towards it, or simply just don't care. Then, when they're called on about it, they have the audacity to be "offended" or "hurt".



Great sentiment. Too bad it doesn't work. There's too many people in the world who use one of the biggest cop-out's in history about this: "There are more important things to worry about."

Oddly enough, nobody ever has a legitimate answer to that question. EVERYTHING has validity. It's just a matter of how much validity and importance it has to that given person.

"Acceptance" and "tolerance" have become the norm, rather than the exception. Society has decided that it's easier to not take a stand on anything, so it's much easier to fall for everything.

Very true what you say. I also see this on a daily bases. I observe how people talk in general, how they write, and how they react to situations. Alot of whining but no substance and no solutions. People are always looking for a easy way out in everything, especially if it has something to do with education.

What do you believe that Americans have the highest IQ? Yeah right please. There are a few here and there, but not on a average.

I remember a show once by Jay Leno when he walked around interviewing people. His simple question was, " Is Alaska part of the United States? Guess what the answers where. I find it amusing to see this.

If anything you bring foreigners with high IQs into the country with special visas and then claim it is a american invention later on because it was invented on American soil, but don't get me wrong there are some Americans that were very intelligent and are today also. I have some friends with very high IQ results that are Americans.

but then you have some just out there with not much to show...

I had a American once tell me that the first car was invented in his country. I told him to do some research on that.

I also landed in Mississippi once and met Americans who still believe that Hitler runs Germany and they where sincere about it. I later send him history book on Germany for him to catch up on.

Hitler's scientists and engineers were very brilliant people at the time inventing the first rocket, machine gun, great tanks, jets, the first diesel engine, and many many more things. Some of the scientists managed to get away from the dictator and help the US later on in which I think was a big contributing factor in winning the war, let alone the German American spies in getting the information needed to help increase the US's military's intelligence.

You would be surprised how good the education system in Germany is today, let alone the Universities.

Americans are mixed muts usually. A little of every nation, but you have your country and that counts as a race in whole.

When a American walks down the street he doesn't say I am German, Irish, native indian, and polish. He just says he is American. I would consider it a race of its own now.

I got real interested in what went on then. Once they ran out of Jews in Germany to experiment on, they started in on the defective Germans. Terminally ill, physically and developmentally disabled, all German society rejects were at risk.
They showed where that fine line between genius and insanity meet.

Actually my grandparents where responsible for getting crippled Germans out of the country at the time. They risked their lives, but it wasn't as extreme as people talk about it in Germany. They had money to get them out. Money helps alot of decisions at the time.

Yes I truly think genius does touch insanity in some ways. Have you ever met a Genius before? I haven't met some really gifted children in my lifetime, but they do have their problems.

Their brains are bored very quickly and the adults have a hard time trying to keep it entertained.

Also many geniuses are very suicidal, which is sad. Some say the more you know the more depressed you get.
