I know about airline crates, but probably not such a good idea for a baby kitten. Probably scare the hell outta the poor little guy. This is true. Coulda been a good excuse for a road trip, only a slight detour on my way to visit family in MI. I got a feelin I'm gonna end up keepin him. Gettin attached to the lil guy already. Bein woke up 3-4 times in the night to feed him seems to be doin it.

Reminds me in 1998, I had a neighbor who came knocking at my door, all strssed out. She told me my teenager had shot a bird in her yard. I went out there and it was obviously not going to make it, but still alive. I told her I am sorry, I will deal with my son. Right now I think I sould have him come out and put the bird out of its misery. She said emphatically, NO Don't!! He's in enough pain already. Just let nature take its course. So I abided by her wishes, but what a nut.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Peanut is doin quite well. He's gotten on a feedin schedule an appears to be growin. His eyes are fully open now also.

My friend called me this morning. She found a kitten under her trailer in the insulation. She says that it doesn't have it's eyes open yet an she has no clue what to do with it. I told her to bring it to me an I'd see what I could do in the way of bottle feedin it. It's been alot of years since I've done this. Any suggestions? Use an eye-dropper to initially feed the baby, then when you get ready to train the kitten, use a warm washcloth to teach it hoe to clean itself. Use your maternal intuition...it will all come naturally. I saved two babies after being abandoned and i am totally their 'mom' after five years.

Happy to report that Peanut is growin an thrivin! He's become quite vocal. Let's me know when he's hungry or just in the mood to get a rubdown. LOL He seems to enjoy gettin rubdowned, but then what male doesn't? LOL I'll post some new pics of him so everyone can see him with his eyes open. I'm thinkin he's goin to be long haired as he's very fuzzy. I've grown attached to the lil thing an he'll be stayin with us. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement an well wishes.
