I have a book thats called '101 questions to get to know others' so I'm going to use one here and see how it goes.

You are asked to be a part of a jury in a 1st degree murder trail. The defendant is found guilty, you have no doubt about it. In the country/state where u are execution is the mode of punishment. You as foreperson of the jury are required to push the bottun that will execute the guilty person, would you do it? You are not required to see the person during it!

If no to above what if you'd be compensated $1,000,000 for it?

Like I said at the begining, you were part of the jury that found the person guilty, so u must be satisfied with the verdict.

Yes - I know that. He is guilty of murder but do I believe he should be killed? Probably, but I'd like to know the details before I pushed that button.

Ok I'll give u 2 possiabilites.

1st a jealous bf kills his gf due to cheating.

2nd a mentally ill teen stalks and shoots a man he honestly believes hurt his mother, but didn't in reality

In both cases there was forethough and planning, and it was carried out in 'cold blood' in the 2nd case like I said the teen is mentally ill but deemed 'fit' to stand trail

Interesting opinions, I'm betting the ppl who would do it are supporters of the death penalty. I am not though one of these ppl. Statisticly it doesn't deter anyone. Look at the U.S. 48 (I believe) of the 50 states have it including NY, Cali and Micigan yet these 3 states have the higgest murder rates, heck NYC alone has more murders then some entire states. I won't even get into Texas and there system. Add to this that 4% (at least) of the exeucted wind up being proven innocent, where's the justice in that?
