If the person you loved was about to get married would you try and stop the wedding? id consider it. but honestly, what would come of that? is she/he really going to stop everything and call off the wedding? or is he/she just going to be irritated? |

If the person you loved was about to get married would you try and stop the wedding? I would try to stop anyone from getting married. That is, if they asked my opinion. If I had the hots for someone and they were about to get married would I stop them??? Nope. They deserve their miserable fate for not remaining my devoted slave. As you can see, I am against marriage of any kind. It is a contract with the STATE and the STATE is in league with evil. DOWN WITH INSTITUTIONS, TAXES, AND LICENSES. |

It is all about finances. Concentrate on becoming wealthy, get your own house live your dream with out the contract with the state. You can still have a man (or men) in your life. And yet you are free, and there is no one who thinks they own you and your life. Cultivate close friendships. You don't need the Cinderella fantasy. The only reason to get married if is you intend to raise a family and you can still do that without being married. Meet your partner on equal ground financially and emotionally. That way you will maintain your mutual respect for each other and you will not go around thinking you own each other's lives. Live free. You can still love. |

No, I definitely wouldn't try and stop the wedding..
I would however tell the person that I love them but in a respectful manner... I wouldn't burst into the church (like in movies) and confess my love.. I would find trying to stop the marriage very disrespectful to both of them involved.. and I would definitely think on how they would perceive me doing such a thing.. The only circumstances where I think this would really aply for me is-- If I was in love with someone or even if I was just really good friends with someone and I saw their partner cheating on them before the marriage or doing something extremely inappropriate -I would try and stop it for sure.. I would hate to see my friend go through a marriage of infidelity,, and all the drawn out legal issues associated to divorce... |

I would try to stop anyone from getting married. That is, if they asked my opinion. My brother got married and before the wedding he said "Well bro, I'm getting married. Any thoughts you want to share?". I said "Yeah. DON'T DO IT!!!!". He divorced her after about 6 months but he's still mad at me for it to this day. Been about 20 something years I guess. lol |

Hey, if they're stupid enough to want to get married, who am I to argue with stupidity?

Nope you can not make someone love you. And the fact is they must have not felt the same about you if they were in fact marrying someone else.
