to me pix with the opposite sex are like shirtless pix.

just a bad choice all around on a dating site.

but then pix with kids are just pix with kids.

i get weirded out about people stickin their kids on a dating site. too many weirdos out there ya know?

It depends on what I'm looking at the picture for, and what the picture poster is here for. I see this as both a dating site and a mingling spot.

If you're here for dating, then posting your kids is probably not the best of ideas. I personally would not want to see a picture of a potential mate with her kids since I want my own children and dating someone with kids might be alright, but isn't in my current best interests.

But for the women I chat with here in the forums and have little to no interest in dating, I have no problem with kid pics. It demonstrates good family values and closeness.

And pretty much the same applies to pics with the opposite sex demonstrating the same value of your friends, while potentially hurting your possibilities for dating. But if you're here just for friends and that's all I'm interested in, then pics with friends can also reveal a little bit about the type of person you are.

I'm put off by a lot actually

Only if I can't figure out which one the profile belongs to.

I don't post photos of my daughter online, simply because the 'Net is far too anonymous and I won't risk it. I don't get "put off" by others doing so, however. Same with photos of them with others, male or female. Each of us expresses ourselves in our own unique way, and there are far more important things to get worked up over :)

OK.. I may get shot for this

but anyone or anything cuddling children in pics are a turn off...
