Nope, they don't look like that. I've tried some bird sites but haven't been able to identify them yet. They may be going through some kind of molt because their feathers look kind of un kempt. |

Hey folks. Anybody know anything about falcons or hawks. I've got a pair of somethings building a nest in a tree in front of my house, and I'm not sure what they are. Whatever they are they sure are taking care of the rabbits and squirrels we had around here. Hi MTM The man behind me is a falconeer so I have those stupid squawking things living behind me. got any pictures? I think they may be perigrines, I know the city was trying to attract them to deal with the pidgens, but I thought they mainly nested in the tall buildings not in trees. He keeps those things in a cage but ever now and then he puts on his iron glove and lets them out with a chain on their leg.I hate them!! Then he's just being mean to them. If he was a falconier he should be able to let them fly and they would come back to him on call. Yea they do make an awful squawking sound, kind of like a cross between a sick duck and a seagull. The cage is a real eyesore too. Many of the neighbours have complained to the city but they claim he has a licence and is keeping within the city bylaws. sounds kind of like the neighbors I had for a while that kept bringing home beat up old cars and motorcycles, leaking oil all over the street and starting them up at 5 am with no mufflers. |

In trying to identify these birds I have seen some falcon and raptor orgainisation sites. Maybe you can e-mail them. btw have you got your door fixed yet? |
