Not at all. I often do not even notice who the OP is, just the topic.

i've noticed that when a very attractive woman starts a thread with obvious grammatical and spelling mistakes it is a lot less likely to be brought up by anyone in the thread. there will also be a whole lot of flirting as well.

if someone else who is a little more homely looking does it, (s)he is called on it and will probably get less responses.

That might be true, but nobody is going to admit to it. Also there are a lot of groups of "friends" on here so some folks may get a little more leeway than others. And it depends on what the original post is about, if it's a man hating or woman hating theme, a whoa is me type thing, or somebody just looking to "hook-up" look out

Really?

I don't see that at all Jasmine...the number of us that use some kind of avatar, and start threads, get way more responses, when it's an interesting, or quirky thread...

Also the familiarity of the OP, or the topic, creates long threads...

The 'attractiveness' of the thread, creates the responses, not so much the literacy skills of the OP, nor their level of generic attractiveness of their pic.

That is an interesting concept. I usually look at the topic and respond if it interests me in some way...
I like your threads you post, they are always interesting.
A few friends of mine tell me to put a more serious pic of myself up - maybe I should a time or two and see if it makes a difference.

with out a doubt it does for me. There are just some threads started by certain people who have more or less set what type of thread they start... Some are known to be jokesters, some serious, some just plain out stupid, some are flirting all the time. So when I see the pic of the poster IT does affect me and if I want to even read the thread.

BUT this is an opinion. My opinion. so I don't look at some posters threads based on the knowledge that they post s certain way.. sorry this isn't meant to offend. Just my observation.

So that would explain not only why my threads rarely get past page 1, but how the threads in which I post almost instantly die as well. Either that, or they're just stupid. Sorry, but now your thread only has three posts to live.

Maybe you need to put up a pic of a chick in a bikini.

not generally... the only time it affects it is possibly when it is there first post, they post something ridiculous and dont have a pic up.

It's always interesting to me to see how, when a new girl shows up in "New Members Welcome Area," a lot of the guys suddenly turn into third graders. The ones who are already third graders turn into first graders.

I'll just answer the OP with a "Yes" because I can spell that!
