Chances are.. if you look up the old laws for your state, adultery IS a crime. Nobody pushes the issue.

Michigan: "Any time a person engages in sexual intercourse in an adulterous relationship they are guilty of criminal sexual conduct 1, which is the most serious sexual assault charge in Michigan's criminal court, and they could receive up to life in prison."

Another old Michigan Law: A woman may not cut her hair without her husbands permission. LOL

I guess your right, so all of us good people get screwed over again :(
we just need to put more thought and effort into who we are with. Not everyone is a cheater. Not everyone is out to screw someone else over.

True, but when it happens it can come out of no where. And steal your life and you have no choice but to accept what that person has done to you and move on, so one day you can have what you think is a great family, and the next day your file is completely different. It pains me to see that people can get away with this but you can go to jail for stealing a chocolate bar.
IDK about you but I sure as hell don't want the government involved in my bedroom.
I'm telling you, those blacklights the FBI leave behind kick ass!

LOL

It's like that stupid commercial about the Axe deoderant, the one that says, "If you can't remember the night before," and subtley infers that if you buy their products, it will justify anything you might have done the night before and cure anything you might have contracted the night before.

I hate Axe so much that I think I'm going to have an anal evacuation in their honor.explode

oh there's all kinds of old out dated laws on sex. sodomy for example is illegal in many states... so I guess we better go arrest all the gay men. see how these things can get out of control?

Interesting point, we come such a long way now, right to vote, right to chose gender, right to be ethnically different, right to cheat on someone...

What really gets me about what I originally posted... is the simplicity of why you should have an affair. Simply because life is short.

isn't if funny? we are all just people, some good, some not so much.. Those of us who have confidence and security within ourselves, RARELY get tripped up by azzholes.. If we do then they must be d*mn good.. And if they are and we are still confident then we realize they are just azzholes so in the end what does it really matter? If we give them the time of day by letting them hurt us then they win.. If we chalk it up to "we made a miscalculation in our judgment of their being human" then it's all good and we move on...

The way I see it is life is short. SO when you are lucky enough to find someone who loves you, make sure you spend the rest of your life loving them back.

Yes, I agree with both of you, the end ownes is on us to defend ourselves, and learn emtionally, itellectually and spiritually through this journey. Hard times do make us stronger, smarter.

And if you find that special someone, and they are good to you, don't let go no matter what.

After the long road, I would say though I have to admit, If there is to be nothing done of this, at least don't advertise it right in my face, and the last thing I want my children to see is and advertisment condoning cheating.
