Topic: Dating Disorders: Male variety | |

Ok, it's time to dissect the male variety with dating disorders.
There are the ones who say they are interested in deeper, lasting relationships and no "one-night" flings, then ask you to go to bed with them after about an hour There are the guys who cannot help but talk about themselves (the whole, entire time) but don't think about asking you some questions There are those that simply "forget" that you even were supposed to meet up in the first place, and can't understand that you are a bit frustrated when you had to cancel plans and re-arrange your life to meet them in the first place There are the "gropers" - nuff said? I mean, that's just ick on a first date especially! I know there are more - so you can add to the list. I also happen to know a lot of great, truly genuine guys on this site and in real life. I am not meaning to offend you terrific gentlemen that are out there. |

The one who tells you he is soooo over his ex, and continues to talk about her all through the date...

I have one. This is based on talking to many of you women. I call him the "Serial Honeymooner." He knows you are wise to his fling-seeking ways, so presents not as someone seeking a one night stand (AKA casual encounter) but poses as someone looking for something long term. He enters in an intensely sexualized AND ROMANTIC relationship that lasts a few weeks. For a few weeks, he says and does everything right. Some of these guys know (and some of them do not know) that the novelty is about to wear out and rather than transitioning into the next phase of the relationship, they jump what they see as a sinking ship onto the next intense honeymoon with one of the other 5 women he has been talking to.

I like to do spontaneous things and sometimes my date can be a real drag. Blah dating, can't we change what we call it to 'Try to enjoy yourself, Stupid'? |
