If you could, where in the world would you go, to lift a helping hand?
This is precipitated by the candy cane girl (you rock!) There are major floods here in Canada, starvation in every corner, wars, woman's rights being trampled, etc. Where would you go? What would you do? Cheers everyone 
(Oh, just an aside here, I quit smoking, 2 mofo months ago. I keep in touch with a young buck here via emails, and HE's doing well with his non smoking too.!) |

One doesn't have to go very far at all. There are probably hungry people within a short walk of all of us.

I agree with Motown. Just two weeks back I had 810lbs of extra veggies on the truck that a certain Retailer refused and planned to toss to the garbage, because they were under weight. I sold 600 lbs to a vendor and gave roughly 200 lbs to a Food Pantry in Tulsa.

I have volunteered in soup kitchens in Atlanta, ran the Atlanta us 10k classic for children 4 times, team leader of the wild childs-March of dimes, cancer walks, fund raisers for MS and soon to come to Canada-

I would like to go to Africa and work with the women, men and children facing the unimagineable circumstances they endure everyday. Education, HIV/Aids awareness, medical needs, all of it.
To live simply and see the world through their eyes. In a world where there is so much, to have so little, but to be grateful for what you have.
