It's been so long I don't remember. There were car phones and bag phones (remember those, they had the huge battery in the leather case and the phone was still attached with a cord?... ). It's kind of amazing how cellular phones have evolved so quickly. Nobody in my immediate family has a house phone anymore, or my ex's family. Still not sure it's a good thing to be so "handy" though.

I talked on CB's... We use to sneak in my dad's shop and do that. Learned some new words that way. I had one in my room and in my car. All of my friends were cowboys and they all had one in their trucks. It was GREAT!!!

Quickest way used to be Telegraph until the invented tell a woman. I worked telephone soliciting with the rotary dial phone. Wore the fingers and used a pencil to dial.
