Today in class we learned how many coins go into each different coin rollers. I am like WTF? Common knowledge here teacher! Hell it even says it right on the coin roller. frustrated whoa

We also learned how to use a calculator. She actually had us come up so she could show us how to turn it on. I am like again WTF! It does NOT take a rocket scientist to push the ON button. noway

Then we learned how to fill a bank deposit slip. Non of out banks around here even use them anymore. Everything is done on computers. So another stupid and pointless lesson. frustrated

The stupidity does not end there. It ended with learning how to use a paper cutter. indifferent

I did not pay to take a course to teach me stuff that is common knowledge. I mean come turning a calculator on? noway

Tomorrows lesson? How to write a cheque. slaphead

You'd probably be shocked to learn the number of people in your class who went home and said "gee, teacher went through so much stuff today I don't know if I will be able to remember it all".

That sure sounds pretty lame. The sad part is some of the people probably didn't know some of the common sense stuff they 'taught' today.

It is an office assistant course. I am getting so sick of this class it is not funny. Before she even started teaching she told us what we would be doing and asked if anybody knows how to do any of it. The whole class put there hand up for everything. Why? Because a child could do it.

note* remove the fingers under the cutting blade before pushing it down... no one wants to pay workmans comp for thatlaugh if in deed you do forget.. do not throw the fingers on the cutting tray in the garbage.. pick up your fingers with your hand you have fingers left on and put them in a envelope and take them to the doctor with you, they may be able to sew them back on

Hmmm...ever been to a check-out line where the cashier actually had to use a cash register...mind-boggling how many do not have even basic math down enough to come up with the correct change. There are times when there are power outages or the computer crashes and we all have to revert to the fundamentals. Even if you think you know them, not a bad idea to refresh yourself. Some of this stuff was taught in school when I was in school, but then so was telephone etiquette, but I think it's all been removed from the curriculum, which I think is a shame because you would be surprised, whether they admit it or not, how many folks do not know these fundamentals.

School, largely a waste of time for most people. Learn useless things that you won't use in life, topped on with a load of one-sided teachings that completly kill the ability to come about your own conclusion of something...grow up, get paid well, and become dumber towards common principles in life.

Happiness is key, and drugs...well, lots of drugs anyway...
