I've had a couple good friends tell me to dumb myself down when I was young. Um, no. I think I'll just be me. It isn't my problem when someone thinks I'm to smart for him. It's his problem w/ his own self-image. I get e-mails here about that. "Your writing is too intimidating." They want me to dumb it down. It's a bad thing that I know a few words of more than two syllables? I don't think so. This is me, this is how I write. Don't like it? Don't read it. I'm only as "intimidating" as you allow yourself to be "intimidated." |

I have been told that by a few men I had dated about 3 dates in. I just laugh (because we all know no one is perfect) and respond with, "I can give you a list right now of all my faults if that'll make you feel better!"

I have been told that a lot by my boyfriend. It bothers me on some days and others I don't pay attention to it so much. Depends on my mood I guess.

Yes
By telling them to spread the word |

You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly

I've been told that but I am quick to point out my flaws. I can't have those unreal expectations floating around - it is too far to fall.

Have you ever been told that you're perfect? How did you respond? |
|
|
|
Never been told it, but came close.
Once a women told me " You need some one who will treat you like the God that you are" Come on that's got to be pretty close. |

Have been told but it is not something I choose to believe. There is always room for improvement.

i don't need to be reminded.

I always say 'never believe your own press'. If you believe the good, you have to believe the bad - and all of it are just people's opinions - subjective and changeable. It doesn't change the who of me and I can't own someone else's opinion.
In fact, I view it as more a reflection. The things people see in me are just a reflection of what lives in them. |
