Topic: Why do we | |

Animals can teach us much about compassion, empathy, unconditional love.
They are our silent teachers. Loyalty, affection...... they communicate more, with silence, than we idiot humans can convey with unlimited words. Forgiving, joyful...gentle hearts. They are real. |

My baby.
Her final resting place. After all those 20 years of loyalty, friendship, and love, I felt making this cross was the very least I could do for her. |

Sorry I blew the margins. Top two cats, Flower in front, Donna in the back. The all black cat is Bodhisattva. Big black dog is Star, she is the real dog, the Man's Dog. And the little dog is Nina. |

Our animals give us unconditional love!!! I had my dear simba 14 years before she went to the rainbow bridge and not a day goes by I dont miss here, but my new pup Cherokee is a great companion to take up that void!!

Great choice for a name! A Steely Dan fan, are ya? |

I think it is because they love us unconditionally. My cat gives me "kisses" on my chin. I have only had him for two months but he is a sweet boy.

Male cats are alot better than female cats. They're alot more playful and friendly and affectionate. Well, my sister has this one female cat that is awesome, she's so playful and friendly. Her cat and my cat would get in trouble all the time, and their dog would actually babysit them, it was funny.

Great choice for a name! A Steely Dan fan, are ya? Yes a fan, but named her after the Bodhisattva Buddha, the one who remains until all being find Enlightenment. She is a special needs cat, and is so very affectionate. . |

aww. this almost makes me want to cry!
I've had a cat, named Twotone (don't ask me why, because even I don't know) since i was six years old. We called her miss kitty most of the time. She recently died of cancer. I miss her. :-( |

get so attached to our pets? I consider my cat my best friend. He's been with me since I was 12. He sleeps with me at night, and follows me everywhere. When I don't come home at night, he lays on my bed and meows for me. I know when he goes I'm going to cry, and miss him alot. I can't help but look at him from time to time and realize, we only have about three more years together. Why do we allow ourselves to feel this way? i could replace your cat when its gone. |
