Honestly? I think you have a good foundation here, but I personally would start the piece with a lead in. Like most good stories, you need a "hook", something to immediately grab someone's attention. While this is certainly a heartfelt piece, it is waiting for someone to trip over it rather than reaching out and pulling someone IN.

You asked for honesty, that's my honest opinion. But like other parts, we all have one so my best advice is if YOU are happy with it, that's all that matters...
