Do you know any movies with actors actresses should deserve more recognition?
People tend to credit actors who play a good character, but I find that it's much harder to play the evil and twisted and requires a lot of talent. I watched the Green Mile, and the actor who played "Wild Bill" - Sam Rockwell is a very talented actor. Here is a piece from the Green Mile (Wild Bill) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TulxjdKsROI |

After looking at that list, I have to agree. But after the upcoming silver surfer, I think people will be more familiar w/ him. I TOTALLY loved him as Abe Sapien. Although that romance side story in the second Hellboy was a weakness in the movie, he is a wonderful actor. I think that is the downfall of playing costumed characters. The character comes to the front and the actor becomes non-existant. This is both a good and a bad thing. A bad thing for an actor that would want fame and recognition. A good thing for an actor that wants to show off his skill. These types of parts depend on highly skilled actors and a bad actor will turn the part into a total farce. |
