Topic: Cats and Dogs?? | |
---|---|
I never ever understood why women like cats and men like dogs. Now hold on...don't go crazy and say, "You're wrong Billy! I am a woman and I love dogs! I have 4 dogs!" I know, I know...there are many women who have dogs and love them and men who have cats and love them the same. I am just saying...Why are "dogs" considered "male pets" and "cats" considered "female pets"?
I mean...why not fish? or ferrets? Or a bird? Why not it be like.....If you think of a guy and somebody says, "this guy has a pet," that you automatically think its a fish or a hamster or a cat instead of a dog. And if you say "Mary has a pet." Why can't you automatically think its a bird or a ferret or even a dog. Why?? Do you think cats know they're female pets? Do you think dogs know they're male pets? When did this happen??? |

Humm myself I prefer dogs besides fish and birds or other animals just can't cuddle with you like a dog/cat can. Never been much for cats though give me a dog any day.

Because dogs are like men like them to be, all "Seig Heil", "Yes Master"! and cats are like women..like "I KNOW you're not talkin' to me!" "Now pet me!!..until I tire of it"

I've worked in the pet industry for many, many years & know that a lot of people will spend more money on their pets than they will their kids...go figure, huh?
But don't ever tell a cat-keeping guy that it's a woman's pet...or vice versa...cuz you won't like the answers! |

People think NOTHING of 35-75 bucks to cut and bathe a damn dog. Last week, one came in here wearing a tuxedo...no hat though. It's funny as hell to me, the way people treat dogs in particular. Just TRY putting a cat into a little suit! See you in ICU. |

See you in ICU. *snicker* I had a pet grooming shop in Orlando...was even fortunate enough to garner the Walt Disney World & the Universal Studios accounts... I have bathed/groomed everything from an Irish Wolfhound all the way down to a guinea pig! It's a pity that some children are starving...while Fifi the Poodle gets a full-blown massage & manicure! |

I don't know how it got this way. I like both cats and dogs. From an ownership point of view, the cat is much lower maintenance; put out food and clean the litter box every few days.
Seems it's popular for guys to say, "I hate cats". I've always been secure enough in my manhood to admit that I like cats. |

I never thought dogs were "man pets" and cats were "female pets." That's an odd way to look at it.

I have both cats and dogs. 3 dogs, and 2 cats. I like both for different reasons. They both have their pros and cons. I will never ever spend more on my pets than I will my kids. However, they are cuddled and loved up as much as my kids.

Guess its a "TV" society "pop culture" type of thing. I dunno...guess I was just reaching for something to say in a post. Just love to see my face, I guess.

I can spend the night away from my cats if I overfill the food bowls. Dogs are HIGH maintainance pets.

Ah, I thought you were basing it on people you knew who had cats and dogs. No I just love the idea of the "general discussion." Like I said on my profile. I LOVE reading people and seeing how people react. Seeing what makes people tick. So this whole "message board" thing is awesome. I never have done anything like this before so I am just eating it up. |

I wish my ex was on this site just so she could read this post. It's absurd and about as wrong as anything I've read here.
