any acts of kindness lately?
I helped a lady using a wheelchair get through a crowded casino. Amazing how quickly people move for you after you cuss out one person. |

I made the plumber and his apprentice lunch...(and no I didn't have an issue with a crack, and I didn't care if he fixed the pipe in a year's time)
I just drove my 20 year old to work, which is a three minute walk, cause it looks like rain. I hugged my friend at the supermarket. Are they acts of kindness? And did you mean today? Cause they are the only ones so far today. |

Do you think it is Moral act if a person performes acts of kindness towards others merely for the sake of making themselves feel good?

Last week I bought food for a woman who was staying over night at the airport. She had to hitch hike just to get to the airport in the first place.

any acts of kindness lately? I helped a lady using a wheelchair get through a crowded casino. Amazing how quickly people move for you after you cuss out one person. You not only helped the woman in the wheelchair but, I bet you educated others in the vicinity of the person you were cussing out. Hopefully, the person receiving the cussing out was also educated..lol. Those are all (in some aspects) "kind acts." Kudos to you and others like you. I do think this is a positive thread and thank you for posting it. It is nice to hear that people are actually still being kind to others without having selfish motifs. Acts of kindness today: There were several but I'm afraid if I list them, it will embarrass those who were helped. So, I will remain silent about the actual details. |

I have two little black lab puppies that I don't want and one was stuck under my shed. She was lost and crying she couldn't find her way out,I tried to dig her out!

Was standing outside during my lunch break smoking a cigarette talking to a friend when a coworker was walking in carrying 3 bags. I starting walking away from my friend, who is a coworker, and she goes, "where you going?" I said, "I'm going to open the door for her"
That a random act of kindness? |

Amazing how quickly people move for you after you cuss out one person. lol, a little off topic here..but i gotta tell this story. My Grandfather was admitted to a nursing home at 88 (circumstance is another story) But i went to see him one day..and going down the hall..there were these two elderly women, both in wheelchairs..one was this little skinny woman that might have weighed 75 pounds...the other about 200. They were passing each other in the corridor there, and the wheels ran inside of each other..so they're stuck..and the little one kept yelling "i'll slap the sh*t out of you" Which i found sad but amusing..well i go up to help them get separated..and the whole time..this little woman kept saying to the other.."i'll slap the sh*t out of you" Well i finally got them free of each other..and that lil ole lady looked right at me, pointed her finger at me and said....."i'll slap the sh*t out of you" and i said, yes ma'am...Funny..but sad at the same time. I go out of my way to help folks, someday i might need a helping hand too. |

Do you think it is Moral act if a person performes acts of kindness towards others merely for the sake of making themselves feel good? I stopped caring what my motivation was a long time ago. When someone needs help, I just do it. Who the hell cares what they think. If another human lets me see a problem I can fix, I'm going to fix it. Just don't start doing things for people that didn't ask for them. |

At one of my fav bookstores, I left a tea bag (yes, still wrapped) on a shelf for someone to find and hopefully use.

I try to be kind to everyone and help where I can. Not for my sake but because it's just what people should do for others. It does make me feel good to 'perform a random act of kindness' but I don't do it just to make myself feel better.
