Wonderful - probably less funding for social services. Will have to research. Thanks for the headsup!

In the next five years, this Obama budget will spend more than all that was spent for all the presidents from George Washington through Bush 2. Bush spent more than all the presidents through clinton.

Folks, spending is out of control.

Add all the national debt accrued from the time of George Washington through George W. Bush, Gregg notes, and Obama plans to double it during five years. (Bush also doubled it on his watch)

The problem here is that Bush ignored Domestic spending.
None on the infrastructure.
None on the environment.
None for poor children's Health care.
But,
Millions upon millions in a war we had no business in, and
Billions in tax cuts to the top 1% and oil companies!

All the while lying, destroying America's reputation, and covering up the recession we are currently in until it became a problem that will take 10 years or more to completely overcome!

And if he wasnt spending much cash you people would probably be saying that he should be.

Something has to be done about the situation. Your interest rates are already rock bottom so they cant be lowered to stimulate the economy, and the remaining options are really quite limited. Injecting this amount of cash into an economy is something that MIGHT work. At least something is being done.

I read a figure lately that the amount of bailouts and stimulus packages amounts to about 6-7% of the US GDP. Which is no more than many of the richest nations. In the UK, we are at about 12%.

And just what is Obama ignoring -well, that might just be our children's future saddled with that much more debt thus a lower standard of living. Nothing is going to be done about the US overspending more than we can afford until we pass a spending bill that would FREEZE spending at current spending levels with only small future % adjustments.
