A female teacher who posed on the internet in skimpy pink lingerie and a pair of stilettos is facing disciplinary action after complaints from "disgusted" parents.Natasha Gray, 30, who was once voted "Britain's sexiest teacher", lay on a bed and posed for the racy photographs which were featured on a website for glamour models. Miss Gray described herself as "Tasha" and a caption on the page, which promoted her part-time modelling work, said: "Willing to travel with expenses paid".The portfolio of eight revealing pictures was circulated among pupils at Manor Community College in Cambridge, where Miss Gray is head of PE, and came to the attention of the school following an anonymous letter from an angry parent. The parent said: "I was surprised when my child came home from school informing me that one of their teachers had some, what I would call, provocative pictures on a website. "From doing a bit of digging, it is apparently common knowledge about these photos and has been for some time."I am disgusted that, even if these were taken before she became a teacher, Miss Gray has not even attempted to remove them. I assume the pupils have a good giggle about it but I find it rather crass." Miss Gray won the title of "Britain's sexiest teacher" in an ITV phone-in competition in 2002. She also entered a follow-up competition against winners from six other professions for the title of "Britain's Sexiest" but was narrowly beaten by a fitness instructor. Speaking after the competition she said: "It was absolutely fantastic. I had such a brilliant day. The audience was great and helped me get into it." Manor Community College has 355 pupils aged 11 to 16 and has been a specialist creative and performing arts college for the last two years. In its last Ofsted report in June 2008 the school was described as "a satisfactory and improving school with a number of good features". Principal Ben Slade said Miss Gray would be severely reprimanded over the photographs in her underwear, which risked undoing the school's improving reputation. He said: "I knew nothing about this. It is not on the school's internet and we have very robust policies on how staff should behave in school. "This will certainly be dealt with most severely and will certainly be a disciplinary matter. She will be asked to take the pictures down." But Miss Gray is not being suspended and she will continue to teach pupils who have seen the pictures. Mr Slade said: "This is not a matter for suspension, as much as I would like it to be in this case. If the pictures were more pornographic or if they involved someone of a dubious age it would be more serious. "They were completely inappropriate for somebody who is a teacher. They were absolutely not pornographic but do you want to see your teacher in that way? Probably not. I'm extremely disappointed that this member of staff has let us down." Miss Gray was unavailable for comment. Pictures of her have been removed from the www.iModel.com website. Teachers were NEVER like this when I went to school! To most, showing an ankle was an abomination........How times change. |

Its not like she was showing the class those pictures. Alot of kids these days are a whiz at the computer. And they know how to look for stuff they shouldnt be looking for.
Like they said its not like she was stark-naked. Shes a model so what they should just leave her alone about the pictures!! |

Ah the age of the internet.
I think there's been a 'thing' for teachers for years. The internet just helped it. |

Lmao heck I was talking to a guy about a year ago he contacted me on yahoo found out he lived only like 15 minutes away if that he was a teacher so thought well how bad can he be ya know. Well goggled his yahoo account and shshshshh OMG came up with nude pictures of him on yahoo lmao this was a teacher in the area and showing all. Heck now teachers would have never done that when I was growing up.
Needless to say I did not meet him hummmmmmmmm must saw his assets was lacking |

where I grew up it was understood that teachers would not be seen in public drinking beer or they would be fired
if a teacher wanted to go out and have a beer it had to be out of the county |

When I was graduating, another teacher candidate was not given her degree because a student found her face book page, and it showed her drinking from one of those red plastic disposable cups (the kind people play beer pong with). The caption said "drunken pirate". If the girl had just had a sense to NOT add the caption (or make in say something harmless) nothing would have happened.
This was after about 30 dozen warnings from the ED department admin, AND out profs, AND various guest speakers. So this doesn't surprise me too much. That said, even though I don't lead a very interesting personal life (ie: non at all), it is kinda scary how teachers are held to such a different standard than most other professionals. If she had been a doctor, would people have been as bothered by it? Still, it's not like you don't know what you are getting into when you decide to teach. |

There are a number of professions that come under different scrutiny because of the internet. Folks need to realize that something posted on the internet doesn't "just disappear over time".
Potential employers have been know to "google" a person's name to see where it might appear. Bottom line...one needs to be cautious in what they post. JMO |
