Great job keep up the good work. The cravings will go away I hope. I have never smoked but was married to a smoker for 20 years. He tried several times without success. I hope you stick with it. Good luck.

I am giving you a suggestion as a medical professional. Try chewing gum. It will reduce the craving.

Try mint toffees and I hope you are exercising regularly. If not, start it.

Nicotine is a stimulant that your body no longer is "getting"....metabolism slows...weight is added.....

Drop and do 20 push ups when a craving hits you

I quit over a year ago. I read a book called "The easy Way to Quit Smoking." Alan Carr says to not substitute anything for cigarettes and I agree. Just keep telling yourself that you are a non-smoker. If you ever have a cigarette again then you will have to start quitting all over. And it was not easy this time.

Did you like your first cigarette? Why? Because it tasted bad?

Nicotine leaves your system in one hour. That's why you want one every hour. The withdrawal/habit pangs will leave you after 1 to 3 weeks.

For added relief, I have found that self-hypnosis works, also. At night when you go to bed, tell yourself to relax starting at your feet and working your way up your body. Then repeat whatever you want to do to change yourself.

I've scared the hell out of myself before when I wakeup shaving and have no idea where I got there.
