I have a couple of flv files that I an unable to burn using Nero have been looking online and find plenty of converters that can change flv files into avi or any other format I choose.

Any suggestion on which one to try? any preferences?

Can't remember if handbrake supports this format but if so it's free. Videora converter, also free, will convert it to mp4.

thanks tall and pec

I tried the Pazera program last nite and it took forever to convert from flv to avi - also the quality was not as good as the original... maybe I had settings wrong? suggestions?

What file do you all suggest I save file as? I just figured AVI as it can be viewed on computers and on dvd players. Will other files (wma/mp3/mp4)work on dvd players? Which one would be the fastest to convert and best quality?

You need to check your dvd player manual to determine what it supports. I usually convert to .mpg as it's generally well supported. The quality and speed are related, the higher the quality the longer the conversion time.

looking for help in setting up/configuring the converter not the dvd player. The conversion took over 4 hrs using Pazera(left computer on, so not sure exactly how long) to convert flv to avi and the quality was crappy to say the least, so still looking for help

I use CONVERT_X_to_DVD (divX to DVD but it works with mp4s, flv's, avi's and is SUPER simple). Get it from piratebay.
