**Buttercup Update**

Our girl is home, movin' slow as you might expect, hasn't left my side. They showed me the stones they took out of her...there were about 20, some the size of golf balls, said they would have eventually killed her. It bothers me that I didn't pick up on any warning signs. The next time you take your fur babies into the vet, have them check them out for kidney stones. They can tell by just palpating their kidneys and feel if there are any stones that won't pass and need to come out surgically.

Buttercup sends big wet kisses to all for your positive thoughts and prayers and her mommy feels blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Lilbug did the vet say what may cause them in a dog or something that would cut back on them getting them.

I think there are just some dogs more prone to them. Also, diet I think contributes. Buttercup now has to be on a special food...Science Diet SD (stone dissolving). I do think Buttercup's diet probably contributed. She is the first dog I've had that wasn't on one of the more pricey dogs foods, Iams or Science Diet, because I am on a limited budget.... and the only dog who ever developed stones. I'm finding out the hard way, and so is Buttercup, that those higher priced pet foods really are better for them.

Does she like the dog food since you switched it. I have a chihuahua that won't eat anything but Purina Puppy Chow and she is 6 years old. The vet told me that as long as she isn't gaining weight to leave her on it. She will not eat anything but that. I have tried everything else. My other chihuahua will eat anything. The older ones name is Toots and the teacup is named Lily.

Well, she's not eating much today, but I did put some in her bowl and she has nibbled on it, so that's a hopeful sign that she will eventally like it and eat it. I think also the fact that it is canned food rather then dry it is more appealing. Either way, she has to be on it now, so she better make up her mind to like it.

Try Youtube. You will like it too. They have some really good ones there. Put in Parrots and a bunch will come up and a selection if you want dancing or singing you can tell them what you want. You will laugh till you are crying.
