I was using this feature just fine on multiple computers, then, on both computers it just stopped. Now I can't connect to IM no matter what I do. I haven't turned off the IM feature.

What can I do to connect to the IM feature online?

have you checked the feature to see if it accidentally was turned off somehow? other than that...I have no idea...sorry

Who can I talk to that actually is responsbile for these kinds of things? Anyone know where those people are for this site?

Some more info that may help.

I click "Instant Message"

1. The Message window opens up.
2. The "Connect plugs" begin to try connecting.
3. Minutes later nothing has happened, and it never connects.

I have used the instant message feature on two different computers. In both cases I used it successfully for days and days. In both cases it stopped working for everyone I tried to IM, and I was no longer able to use the IM feature.

I'd advise doube checking your IM setting under your account information

And to see if you're in stealth mode because I do believe that will interefere with the IM working. It also won't connect to someone who does not have it operating.


Beyond that, double check your computer if your firewall or security is blocking anysort of pop ups it'll interfere with your connection, as well as checking to see if you have the proper cookies enable to active it.

If your system (especially Vista) does in automatic defrag it will sometimes reboot the cookies you've enabled and might now be blocking them where before it wasn't.

Welcome to the forums, ctcyawni. The IM program is working as it should, so the answer probably lies on your end.

Did you change anything (added a program, changed a setting, etc.) with respect to your two computers? If so, then you might want to consider backtracking to pinpoint the problem.
