why is it when you post a thread regarding how you may be getting treated by the opposite sex everyone gets their panties in a bunch and assumes you are bashing every living soul?

saying "all" of any group lumps them all in the same pile of poop. say "this man, or that woman, or some guys" isn't offensive to the rest..

It is all due to the words one chooses to use. When one says all or groups all into one category it will happen. It all comes down to choosing ones words carefully and not group everyone into one group for we are not all the same. Just because a woman/man has had the opposite sex do them wrong does not mean all of them are in fact that way. It is all in the way one chooses the words they use.

generalizing sucks, and is offensive to some, I for one hate the crap out of seeing a thread that says something like "how come guys do this" or "why do women do that" etc., it's annoying because it sounds like we're all the same and we're not, not every dude is out for one thing or a jerk, and not every girl is a liar/cheat/etc., we're all different and we all treat people a different way, and that's probably why some folks get irritated with generalizing as they don't want to be lumped in with everyone else.

Oh I'm not worried about it I just figured we are all adults and understand we are not talking about every single person in the world just the ones we have personaly come into contact with.. Perhaps I am putting to much faith in others... My opinion is when I see a thread that states why do women do this I try to answer to the best of my ability as a woman, I would hope men would see that as well
