IMO....the small businesses need the help. Big Business is for the money and can outsource. Small businesses can offer job for this country and they are the backbone of america...i agree not necessarily. Outsourcing is a weighing of gain vs cost. Much outsourcing is a job that requires remedial skills at best - mostly those that require very little training to keep costs low. Anything that involves manufactured goods requires a large initial investment and the future investment in shipping those goods to market. It's not always a viable option if those costs exceed the extra costs incurred at home. A good businessowner will choose the more efficient and cost-effective option. |

outsourcing is the independent markets way of telling you that you are expecting too much for your skills our "livable wage" is about three times what the rest of the world needs for the same skills why? our cost of living has priced us out of a competetive market. we want too much in India 25% of the population is under 30 AND has an advanced degree. 25% of 1 Billion is 250,000,000 people. That is equal to the population of the entire United States. And they are ambitious and innovative and ready to compete for jobs and money and we are spoiled fat and lazy and whining cause they are beating us in the open market |

if you have a tech company and you need to start a tech support hotline...
to use Americans will cost $50 million and to use Indians will cost $5 million, what would you do? |

the point is that with our standard of living (mostly based on borrowing) we have priced ourselves out of the market
as long as we expect so much for our skills and work, the Indians and the Chinese will be beating us |

I'm not saying it's right or wrong or good or bad. It's just the way it is.
that's why there is a niche for illegal immigrant labor in America. They can work for about a quarter of what Americans can for the same job |
