No, I sure don't. For all of time men have gone hunting to provide meat for their families. Many still do it for that purpose. I admire that.

Now, for those that hunt purely for sport... that just isn't right.

My family LIKES deer and elk meat. My dad hunts for the meat. So he happens to enjoy the process of hunting as well and enjoys hunting trips even when no one gets anything. So what? I seriously doubt that insecurity has anything to do with hunting.

I live in pheasant hunting country, and most guys I know hunt, including my son. To my knowledge, none of them are shooting pheasants to prove their masculinity, and I wouldn't consider them "rednecks" either. Although, come to think of it, what the heck is wrong with being a redneck?drinker
