They may not even know they have their settings are set that way. Or maybe they don't want lesbians contacting them. Some people are pretty homophobic.

Women can be just as territorial as any man and another woman challenges their borders.

I do not think it is a matter of Homophobia more than people are here under the assumption that they are looking exclusively for dates and not friends.

What is comedy to me on this site is how many lesbians work so hard to put it to the males verbally while a lot of gay men are a lot more polite. I make no bones about it that I am not above making friends in any community. Gay people have feelings too but it pisses me off how acid lesbians can be towards men in general. One thing I have noticed is gay men tend to not be as "rabid" as gay women. I use the term 'rabid' for homosexuals trying to put the bite on us heterosexuals! More often than not lesbians try harder to recruit women to their ranks than gay men try to get other men! I have seen this first hand and even had a lesbian try like hell to get the girl from me at a party. She was so much of a problem the girl I was dating at the time had to be restrained by me because she was about to put a full bottle of Burbon to the head of the offending lesbian and if my hands were not so full I was going to treat the lesbian like I would treat any **** blocking man. Offer her to go outside and enter mutual combat with me. Act like a man, get treated like a man! I was mad at my date for not grabbing an empty bottle first! That is not to say I have not had a gay man hit on me but all I had to say was hopelessly heterosexual and they back off fast. At least they understand when I tell them I have no problem being friends with them. I just will not be their lover. That in itself has gotten me a lot of respect in the gay community. Even the few lesbian friends I do have actually appreciate the fact I let them live their life without ridicule and they overlook my manhood. I at least try for respect all around!

I have spoken with some very nice gay folks of both flavors here and some of the others I met need to get a life!

Likewise to the rest of the hetero crowd out there, you are not saving anyone from themselves if they do not want to be saved. If someone is happy with Homosexuality leave them alone unless they are getting rabid on you!

In the same breath to the lesbians out there who bash males and you know who you are! You just suck. Get a life. Nothing can make you more of a man than I already am and unless you can get a genetic reversion done to yourself you can get an operation but you still are not and never will be able to perform like a man or get another woman pregnant unless you use some pretty frikken Frankenstein science to help!

Life is too short for all the hating and misery going on in our day to day lives.

I personally think respect falls short everywhere!
