Topic: Did you do anything for anyone today... | |
---|---|
Or this last week? My nephew use to live with me and after 6 years of help taking care of him, he has been a big part of my life. Since i moved a couple stats away i don't get to see him that much anymore. He don't get out that much or have that many friends. So since i'm out here in Cali i been spending time with him. Geting him out and doing things he can't realy do, because he is not old enough to drive. Doing what i'm doing with him is giving me a smile. And if doing something for someone does that. Then why not do it more...

I try - but I am ashamed to say not often enough. Our church did a fundraiser today selling Bar-B-Q and I delivered all over Pensacola so people wouldn't have to drive in to town on their day off to pick it up since they were nice enough to buy it.

I picked my grandson up from work and took him home, I cooked supper for my daughter and my grand babies. and I helped my mother with some things..But THIS was my first and only day home this week to do all that in,,as I am off to work again on Sunday....
But doing with anyone is a much better day than to be alone and not having someone to do with, wink, Good post man. |

this past week i changed someones life with 100 bucks... haha i didnt even mean to actually change his life i just wanted to help him i saw him sitting outside the store near my house he was not shaved kinda young and pretty eyes he was maybe 25 n i had gone in to get groceries and he was asking to wipe the windows down for 3 bucks.... i had been irritated going into the store because the people going in would stare and laugh at him... on my way out there was an atm... and so i got out some money that i needed... i walked outside and this cruel man had knocked him down because he had his bucket in the way... he began to cry and i just said excuse me.... i said i work and i think id like you to have this rather then me spending it on something useless.... the man was like shocked... and i walked away... yesterday i saw this man at 711.... he tapped me on the sholder as i turned around i saw this handsome man dressed shaved and clean.... he thanked me and said i was able to go to the store and get clothes and i have an interview and somewhere to stay now.....

Not sure it fits. Told a friend I would fly cross country to help while they were sick. Heck, for what him and his girlfriend have done for me.

I'd like to think I do something special for other people every day, but I don't keep score. I just have to life in hopeful expectation that my heart is mirrored in my actions, I suppose...
