I used to let little things bother me alot but since loosing my husband and my mother, both in 07, I have found that I have mellowed and discovered that life is too short to waste... I am very sorry for your losses. But a wonderful philosophy to live by. |

For one thing, I have curves where I never had any (I was all chest and legs); second, I am confident - I would not be who or where I am today without facing and overcoming the things I have as I have gotten older and trusted myself that it was the right thing to do. Lastly - I have realized the importance of accepting the fact I do not have to be with somebody to make me happy, I can do it all on my own. I am not saying that I don't want to be with someone, just that being alone can also be a good thing.
Also, I must not forget to mention, I have learned the value of true friendship. I do not let it easily slip through my fingers, but hold on because you never know what can happen. |

The 'Gurls' no longer stand at attention, I could care less what anyone thinks about me, I know now that I can't please everyone all the time, Nobody's opinion really means squat other than my kid's.

I have mellowed a lot from the way I used to be.

I used to wake up on days off the same time as I would if I had to work.. BUT.. I'd roll over and go back to sleep for a couple more hours.
Now.. I wake up the same, but have to rush to the bathroom, and then TRY to go back to sleep for a bit. |

Y'all have already said it so well.
Maya Angelou was asked "what she knows" in her 70's. Sagastic despot of wisdom that she is, she quickly responded: "I KNOW that my left nipple is competing w/ the right to see which one gets to my naval first!" Feel free to sing "Gravity" here ... |
