When I clicked the 50 and over group, I suddenly felt my age. I started imagining using a walker, and swigging geritole by the gallons. I don't feel 50, but my birth certificate begs to differ.

I have never been there though the thought of Zimmer frames(translated to walkers from British English)makes me shudder

You are right, I feel like a 30 year old. In fact I'm going to another forum to meet one.

We all age as we feel... I am 56... soon to be 57 and I rolllerblade around lake miramar 5 times per week during lunch period. I blade at a good pace (12.5 to 14.5 MPH average)for six miles each time and can pass most of the others rollerblading there as well as some bicyclists.

I have recently jumped from a plane ... tandem, but a great experience all the same.

I refuse to believe it's time to slow down.

I have a new lady friend who will be 50 on 4-4-09 and is at the phase of not celebrating and is having a lot of trouble accepting the half century mark... and she is a very lovely lady who looks more like 40 than 50. I think she has a lot of excitement left in her ... if she chooses to take the chance to be and do things she hadn't thought of before or thought of but never found time or opportunity.

Anyway, Happy half century!! May the second half century be awesome!

Thanks. Half a century/ OMG OMG OMG I feel like I should be in a museum. It is true. You are as old as you feel.

Now if I could just get somebody to feel me I had a wonderful experience a few months ago. I was visiting one of my daughters and was out for a walk with my 5 year old grandson. One of his neighborhood friends was outside and my grandson ran up to him and said proudly "This is my grandpapa" the little boy looked at me and said "You don't look like a grandpapa, you have hair!!!" Made my day.

I must say i feel younger now than I did when I was 40. Keep active, get involved, think positive and you will feel the years melt away.

I'm 52 and still act like I'm 32. Exercise regularly, drink lots of water, keep a sense of humor and enjoy life!

The number of years your Birth Certificate says has nothing to do with how old you are.
Think young , feel young stay young !

I'm 64 but I can still keep up with the best of them. I feel like I'm in my late 40s I can still run circles around the younguns.

I am as old as dirt.
But I feel like young dirt( you have to be kidding).

Well, in one week I will be 67.. I still parasail, dive, hot air balloon, and will very soon have my own Harley.. Been riding off and on all my life... Hope to skydive this summer... I do more than my grandkids....

My son put it in perspective for me when I had turned 50. He said, mom you now hit the half way mark in life, and you have another 50 to go
Age is the number which helps us know where we are at, it is not the number that tells us what we can and cannot feel and do!
