I'm looking for any lovable nerdy girls in the Ohio/Indiana area. I'm heading up to Ohio for my college's RP guild's convention and I was hoping to maybe meet some new people along the way/have them join my group -me, my roommate Dan, and my boyfriend/roommate Evan- and hang out at WittCon.

Also, just interested in meeting some new friends who share the same kind of passion I do. So, feel free to look me up ladies and gents! But, sadly, mainly ladies as the gents tend to get...creepy.. fast.

Damnit!!!!! I am a full on D&D dork!!!!!! (sobbing and feeling left out....)

hehehehehehe

Screw that honey! Take your fine self to that convention and reign as the center of attention! I got lucky enough to hit GenCon a couple of times decades ago...it was a full on dork BLAST! (there were like 3 chicks there and they were every dorks goddesses for a day)

Yeah, I've sadly missed out on gencon despite living in indiana my whole life -minus the year in Ohio, of course-. But, had plenty of friends who went and wanted me to come. Seems always bad timing. WittCon is actually, sadly, the only con I've ever been to. oh the sadness!

I'll be dressing up for it again, too- thinking maybe an adorable gypsy? I was a rogue last year, with an asian style knife in my sheath on my belt. woo. fun times.
hehe, there will be lots of different gaming events there, and I'm planning to learn at least 3 new systems including call of cthulu, anima, and possibly a werewolf one.

lol, one night when my roommate Dan still lived on Wittenberg Campus, we drove up and stayed over with him there and were doing our campaign.. then decided to just take our characters and max them out and send them dungeon crawling, increasing upwards starting at about 100 kobolds and going on. Amazingly enough, I was still a terrible wimp and ended up dying in the second to last room. Then my friend was destroyed by some horribly overpowered dragon. lol

I was always drafted as DM....I played for 22 years and only ran NPC's...I enjoyed it so it was cool....in a really dorky way.

Sage...you dress however you like...learn whatever systems you like. Just have fun!!!!!

I tend to enjoy clerics, rogues, maybe the occasional ranger. I'm not a huge fan of paladins simply because they're so intense about following their 'just cause' and such- nor have I ever been a huge socerer or any full on magic user. Which is strange to me because in actual computer version RPGs, I tend to love magic users.

hehehehehehe...I almost always managed to keep everyone barely alive...limping and crawling out with a bare minimum of dignity....those are the ones everyone remembers......you know, the fun ones with a sence of accomplishment...(I never let them know that as DM, I completely ignored my own dice rolls behind my screen and would tear them apart to barely let them hang on...they LOVED that style of play!)

I've only really DMed twice, but the boys -roommates- are getting on me that I need to DM something for them soon. I tend to give a good bit of fluff/backstory/actual in character rp into my campaigns, which I've found they like. Dungeon crawls are great to throw in, but I like keeping a solid plot and perhaps some deeper character development along the way. I've been in too many campaigns where I feel like I've put a lot into making my character and then we never actually touch on who my character is at all.

i love to run clerics.don't need a spell book and can use weapons, plus wear armor and it won't effect your spell casting ,how awesome is that:smile:

lol, I would do that sometimes, and I'm fairly certain my roommate Dan did it quite a bit. But I do enjoy that, gives a good sense of accomplishment. hehe

Yeah, I always loved clerics. My boyfriend had never tried running a cleric before, and I talked him into it finally. Now it's his favorite character- Mr. Liam McKegan. That was a great campaign... given that he was a 40 year old devout cleric that spewed out random bits of morality in a gruff voice to lead the rest of the world from their sins.

oh the things you learn about others in the forums ^_~

i should go near naked to the convention.. lol, assure myself victory in the costume competition! bwahaha, my evil plot.

I liked running frail under powered thieves (rogues in the advanced editions)

Any idiot can run a bad mofo of high level...(well, up until I was DM)..takes brains to keep a tiny little halfing hooker/thief alive....

I still have my first edition D&D set (1978) signed by Gary Gygax.

just got another email on here... -_- god they are all so disappointing.
But perhaps it is too much to ask people to spell out "you" instead of "u" and to realize that when I sign my emails with
Take Care,
-emma-
that "Emma" is indeed my name. Strange.
